Ruffing Montessori School dedicates itself to providing a quality Montessori education for children aged three through fourteen. The school, founded in 1959, has been a pioneer in the Montessori approach to education in Ohio and in the United States. Ruffing was the second Montessori school in the United States at both the pre-primary and elementary levels. In 1977, Ruffing became the first Montessori school in Ohio to be accredited by the state to operate through the eighth grade.

The Learning Garden
Started in 2008 as an empty patch of grass behind the school, the Learning Garden has turned into an outdoor classroom that is a true extension of the school.
